OUR MISSION
Lōkahi empowers Hawaiʻi’s teachers with culturally relevant curriculum, training, and local artist partnerships, so every student can access the cognitive, social, and emotional benefits of music.
WHAT WE DO
We focus on teachers. We train them to bring music into the regular school day by creating interdisciplinary connections. We amplify their impact with a community of practice, technology-enabled resources, and partnerships with local artists.
2026-27 Challenge is Live
Our third annual Challenge is even bigger this year. Students across Hawaiʻi can now write full original songs in the new Songwriting category, or bring their words to life in the original Lyrics Writing category.
